Ajit Pawar had instructed in the meeting not to move Jumbo Hospital till January 1. Municipal Health Head Dr. Pawar had inspected the hospital yesterday and instructed to keep it in ready possession. The Jumbo Hospital has a total capacity of 800 beds.
Preparing to reopen closed Covid Centers
NMC is ready to re-open closed Covid Centers. However, if the passengers coming from abroad do not want to stay in the Covid Center for quarantine, the Municipal Corporation will provide hotel facilities. However, the cost of the hotel will be borne by the traveler. Municipal Corporation had made such arrangement in the second wave also.
Preparations to start Covid Center at Hadapsar, Yerwada
At present there are two centers like Naidu Hospital and Baner Yerwada Covid Center. However, the municipality is ready to start Covid Center in Hadapsar, Yerwada.
Infection of 6 people from Nigeria
The six people found in Pimpri-Chinchwad were from Nigeria. On November 24, a 44-year-old woman came from Lagos, Nigeria to visit her brother. She was accompanied by her two daughters. A total of six samples were sent to the laboratory for testing, including her brother, who lives in Pimpri Chinchwad, and her two daughters. A 47-year-old man from Pune has also contracted Omicron.
